To those who say "but we don't have the votes", I would respond "then why be in Congress? Why show up for any other legislation efforts?" Imagine if every Democrat stood on the steps of the Capitol holding Articles of Impeachment? That is unity, that is fight, that is seizing the narrative.

I will invoke Rule IX, which requires an automatic vote on Impeachment. The Speaker cannot stop it. I will hold this vote every day, because the opposite is feckless silence. How many more illegal acts does DJ Trump need to do?

I generally subscribe to "mend it, don't end it", but ICE is the exception to prove the rule. ICE has been commandeered into Trump's personal lawless Gestapo. DHS should be reformed as well.

Immigration is a multilayered issue that needs more than one priority fix. It requires a comprehensive approach, which is what almost happened in 2013 and again in 2024 before Republicans killed both efforts.

FiWe also need to reimagine Immigration enforcement outside of DHS, the agency that protects us from terrorism.

America needs to fund many more immigration courts, we need to develop a seasonal documented worker program, we need to complete the legalization of DACA/Dreamers, we need to enhance high tech screening at the borders, and we need a humane and fair process to give citizenship to immigrants who have been here a long time and have been law-abiding valued members of their communities.

This all-consuming buzzword covers everything from childcare to healthcare to education and housing. The simplest solution is to swing the dial on tax code back in the direction to when America had the strongest Middle Class. Many other solutions are actionable - now.

Money is not speech. Money is not virtue. Money is property, not votes. We must overturn Citizens United. Another circumvent to Citizens United is to invite all states to forbid corporate campaign contributions — corporations are controlled at the state level.

I am a strong advocate for Publicly Financed Elections - it increases diversity and accountability of candidates. They will serve their constituents, not their donors!

The Los Angeles film production industry has been in decline, not just since COVID but especially in the last few years. The main reason is it became too expensive to shoot in LA. We’re now battling other states and other countries for a piece of the production pie. LA’s vast community of the creative working class are really struggling. Generations have built their lives here, and this includes secondary industries like caterers and hotels. 

But LA has woken up. There is legislation at the federal level to create tax incentives to bring production back in-country, which are stacked with state and local incentives. When I’m in Congress, i’ll work to increase those incentives.

Other solutions are being enacted locally, like reduction of permitting and red tape that will reduce costly fees and help production move more quickly.

There are more challenges are around the corner, like AI and consolidation. I would oppose the illegal merger of Paramount and Warner Brothers. And I will fight to bring Star Grants to LA, which will help the creative working class to ride out the bumpy road ahead.

I will use my role in Congress to fight for the urgency of these issues, if we’re going to have a chance to rebound even stronger.

It is the business objective of Gun & Ammo manufacturers to sustain a high level of fear and violence, which increases their sales.

We should regulate Social Media like... media! There are many protections that should have been legislated 10 years ago.

As for AI — there are available protections that don't require us to know the coding of LLM's. We shouldn’t surrender our livelihoods to 8 billionaires with a God Complex. Regulation and oversight are essential to protect both workers and users.

I will fight for Universal Healthcare - but in the meantime we can legislate upgrades to Obamacare - NOW. I call it the P.O.P.S. fixes:

Public Option. Prescription. Subsidies.

We must fully fund these programs, and expand the Medicare age range to cover more people into this already efficient program.

Nothing is more Pro-Family than expanded childcare. We need free childcare for all kids under 5, and we must raise the pay of childcare workers. This will help both parents and the bottom line of the businesses they work for.

Reclaim Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act from all the MAGA recissions.

And for Pete's sake, streamline construction so that every project is shovel ready immediately!

Aggressively expand energy/renewable programs, while helping the transition for all workers from old technologies. Green = Jobs!

Aggressively enforce environmental protections, and prosecute companies that are breaking the law.

A bold partnership of public/private sectors can build many new homes by eliminating red tape and expanding transit hubs. This can be done with inclusionary zoning while protecting worker's rights and neighborhood integrity.

Encourage federal funding of state and local programs, while ensuring oversight and accountability. This allows localities to prioritize approaches per region, as the solutions for the unhoused population are layered and interdependent.

Make all forms of post-high school education more available and affordable to all. This includes alleviating the debt of existing graduates who suffered through the broken finance system.

Reproductive Rights are rights are human rights. We should use strategic lawsuits aimed at clarifying the 14th Amendment: people do not lose rights of autonomy when they become pregnant.

Remember after the George Floyd protests - we were finally going to repair criminal justice and policing? Let's get back to that!

Transition non-violent offenders to treatment, reduce our record setting numbers of incarcerated, and make policing more about safety.

Our country has made progress in the opioid crisis, but more work remains to be done. The rise of synthetic drugs is a scourge, and should be treated both as a criminal and medical crisis.

District 30 has a large and proud Armenian population. I support Genocide recognition, Armenian-American rights, regional security in Artsakh/Armenia, and the release of Armenian prisoners of war.
I oppose Azerbaijani aggression.
